So this comment may get buried in the past, but since you were asking about competitors to the Voant, I thought I would mention one that looks very similar, though I haven&#039;t tried it. The bamboo Writersblok notebook. They&#039;re featured on the Daily Planner web site and there was a review recently on the FPN. 

I used a 3.5 x 5 Volant (same size as a small Moleskine notebook) this summer and was extremely impressed with how durable it was. It handled riding in a sweaty back pocket and being sat upon amazingly well. I also like the way about a third of the pages are perforated (yet even those stayed put unless I wanted to take one out). If I weren&#039;t such a notebook slut I would use them exclusively for my everyday carry notebook.</description>
